DETROIT UNLEADED (2012)

When Sami’s father dies, he must set aside his ambitions and take over his family’s gas station in a dangerous area of Detroit. From behind bulletproof glass, he falls for Naj, who comes to deliver phone cards for her brother. Anyone who has juggled ambition, a job, family, and love will understand what Naj and Sami feel as they struggle for a future together. Written by Jennifer Ginzinger, Heather Kolf, and Rola Nashef; directed by Rola Nashef. The October 16 screening will be followed by a talk with special guest Rola Nashef.
